For buyers

A residual stream, described in the numbers you would have asked for anyway.

You state what you need as ranges, not as a wish. A stream reaches you only if it fits those ranges and a GreCoM reviewer has decided the pairing is worth your time. What you do with it after that is yours — including the sampling.

Is the material usable

You describe your requirement as a material category or a specific target element, the physical states you accept, the quantity and period you need, and a minimum and maximum for each property you care about — marking each one mandatory or not. Mandatory means a stream outside it never reaches you.

A stream is put in front of you only if all of this holds:

  • its material category matches yours exactly;
  • its physical state is one you said you accept;
  • its quantity covers at least half your stated minimum;
  • no property you marked mandatory is outside your range;
  • and a GreCoM reviewer has read the pairing and written an assessment of it.

Before disclosure you see the stream’s properties as bands, its category and application, a coarse region and a quantity band. After disclosure you see the producer’s measured values, the method and date of each measurement, and any documents GreCoM has cleared for release.

Those values are the producer’s declaration, read by GreCoM for completeness and plausibility. GreCoM does not sample or test material. Acceptance testing is yours, exactly as it would be with any new source. That is also why nothing here is called verified or certified.

Can you rely on the supply

Each stream states a quantity and a period, and whether it is a one-off lot or recurring supply. A one-off lot offered against recurring demand is never presented as if it were recurring; the finding says which it is.

Producers confirm availability every quarter. A stream that is not confirmed is withdrawn from matching, and archived after a second missed quarter. So a stream you are shown was confirmed available within the last three months.

GreCoM does not guarantee supply, and could not: it never holds the material and is not a party to your agreement. What it does is decline to leave stale supply in front of you.

Getting access

Buyer access is applied for and considered by GreCoM, and your company is checked against the Dutch trade register before any identity is exchanged. You will be asked what your company does with the material, in a sentence or two — a requirement with no stated purpose behind it is not approved, because the producer on the other side is being asked to reveal something real.

The pilot starts in four sectors. If your material is not among them yet, say so when you register — it tells us where to look next. What the pilot includes.

What you get

Fewer streams, each one read by a person.

A finding per dimension

Material, element, technical properties, quantity, availability, geography, application — each with a plain finding, and a written assessment from the reviewer who decided the pairing. No score to interpret.

The evidence behind it

Each measured value carries its source — self-declared, an uploaded report, or an accredited laboratory report — and its date, so you can see how much weight it deserves before you plan around it.

A named counterparty, once

When both sides agree and GreCoM approves the request, you receive the company’s legal name, registration number and contact, and the cleared documents, in one step. Not a queue of anonymous leads.

State a requirement, and see what exists.

If nothing fits today, your requirement stays live and is compared against every stream that is added. You will be told that it found nothing, rather than shown something that does not fit.
